Black - 14, Judge James Barrett

More than 40 years ago, Judge James Barrett was involved in an incident that shook the University of Wyoming and the entire State of Wyoming. It changed the fortunes of the Wyoming football program and that of many student-athletes enrolled in the program. What follows is his thoughts and recollections of what has commonly been known as the "Black 14 Incident." Barrett is currently serving as a Tenth Circuit Court Judge in Wyoming on the U.S. District Court of Appeals.
