New donations on display at State Museum

The Wyoming State Museum’s Recent Donations case features some of the new objects generously donated to the Museum. The current exhibit includes a turtle fossil, a recurve bow, an accordion, an assemblage of stone points, as well as a few other objects. These objects will remain on display through April 2015, followed by a new set of artifacts.

Wyoming offers Statehood 125th anniversary coins

In recognition of the 125th Anniversary of Wyoming’s statehood which occurred on July 10, 1890, the state is producing a series of commemorative coins, three alloy, a gold, and a silver, each available for sale to the public.

Artist Roster deadline nears

Individuals and groups interested in applying for the Wyoming Arts Council artist roster are reminded the deadline is December 1. Artists and arts groups in the literary, performing and visual arts can now apply online via the CaFÉ (Call for Entry) program of the Western States Arts Federation. Folk artists may apply in any of these categories.
